@CryptosR_Us Only on the cash interest inside the stocks and shares ISA, not the actual gains on any stocks or shares. Not great about the cash side, but not as bad as it sounds as the gains on the stocks and shares is still tax free.
BREAKING: The UK is drafting a law to scan every photo, video and message on every phone in the country.
Tech CEOs who refuse to implement this could face up to 5 years in prison.
The proposal would force companies to build device level scanners that inspect content before encryption.
That means:
• Every image scanned
• Every message inspected
• Every video analyzed
All directly on your phone.
Governments and companies pushing these safety” systems already have a terrible track record protecting user data.
Last month, Europe’s new age verification app, promoted as a way to "keep children safe," was hacked in under 2 minutes.
In another case, over 70,000 IDs and selfies linked to online verification systems were exposed in a major breach.
Now the UK wants even deeper access directly inside your device.
Once governments force surveillance tools into every phone, they can expand what gets monitored at any time.
If everything is fine, then don’t change anything at all.
But when the financial system isn’t working for so many people in the UK, it needs to be updated.
Hey @Trader_XO@trader1sz as exchanges are being clamped down in the UK, do you have any advice on how we can become professional traders (in the eyes of HMRC / Gov) to still use exchanges as pros? Any help or advice would be much appreciated 🙏🏼 thanks.
@GhazarianSamuel@tradetravelchil No, that's what stop losses are for. Protect your downside when your thesis is invalidated. Would have been stopped out long before liquidation level.
@krassenstein Like anything there's always a middle ground. Some of us work better in the office with others, some of us work better on our own at home. It all depends on your personality - me and my bunch of nerdy friends all work from home and would never go back to office life.
@alex_valaitis It depends, if they balance work and their social life, then they should be fine. We prefer to WFH, but then socialise with our hobbies after work, but not all people will get that balance right and some won't go out. So it's whether they manage to do that ☺️
@alex_valaitis Nah, not all people are designed to work in a team in an office. We're all different, some of us really love working on our own. I know a lot of people who are far happier, more productive and successful working from home. Let's not do a sweeping generalisation here.
@DavidBelle_ When we stoop so low, we've lost.
Also arrests mean nothing. We know that black men are targeted unfairly in the UK. I'd like to see conviction rate, not arrest rate.
