For far too long, agenda-driven narratives have reduced MFDs to mere middlemen. But the real stories from the ground tell a different tale—one of resilience, transformation, and deep impact.

Meet Ram Gaikwad, a Pune-based MFD.

Born to a humble background, Ram’s father was an illiterate migrant labourer who moved to Pune from drought-hit Latur in 1972, seeking a better life. Ram grew up in the slums, facing hardship from the start.

Despite these odds, Ram pursued education with determination and completed his post-graduation in Economics. His professional journey began at a petrol pump, selling credit cards to earn a living.

Life threw him a curveball when he met with an accident and couldn’t afford even a Rs. 1,800 treatment. Yet, not once did he compromise on integrity or ethics. Even in his most testing times, he never chased high-revenue products—only what was right for his clients.

Today, Ram manages an AUM of Rs. 300 crore, serves over 1,100 clients, and runs a robust SIP book exceeding Rs. 2 crore monthly.

His vision is bold and inspiring—he aims to make 500 families financially independent in the next five years and turn 200 families into crorepatis within the next seven years.

In his autobiography, ‘Phoenix Rising: Slum to Millionaire,’ Ram shares his journey of grit, purpose, and impact—a story that challenges stereotypes and proves what MFDs truly stand for.
