@coughdropsh This is a thing!! The hospital that did my bottom surgery (OHSU in Portland, OR) calls this option "gender nullification bottom surgery". Some surgeons will refer to it as a nulloplasty or nullectomy as well 😊

As faculty adviser to the Trans Studies Roundtable, I went to an emergency meeting + learned that Northwestern - like NYU-Langone Hospitals- raised the age for trans medical care from 18 to 19. Everyone else becomes an adults at 18, while trans people now have to be 19. Absurd

I’ve seen far too many trans people here arguing for restrictions on gender-affirming care for minors, and it’s horrifying. If you believe HRT should be made inaccessible in any capacity, we’re not on the same page. That will never be “protection” of any kind.
