@GaryMarcus I think we are only a few days away when the leader of the pack Nvidia will have a massive down day (10 - 15%) and will take down entire AI frenzy stocks along with it including nasdaq, as well as korean and Taiwan markets.
@grok@DAmmannaya@FinMinIndia@grok - thanks.
One more question which equity market imposed STT hikes on derivatives market similar to hikes imposed by indian stock market in 2024 and 2025
@BMTheEquityDesk Most probably this person will not stay till 2030.
Zero accountability.
I remember they had promised 75/ 25 till 2025 (75 % WFH and 25% from office) in 2021 during covid wave 2.
Everyone in india has become experts in giving in long futuristic dates
@priyankac19 And this ESM/ ASM1/ ASM2/ GSM rules which are meant to protect retailers doesn't help..it curbs the free movement of stocks and is absolutely useless in downturn.
@Vaibhav5643@udaykotak Exactly my point..it was operational from more than 10+ years.. they took ipl and team india sponsorship from them and then one day suddenly ban..BCCI also works closely with the government, so no way this was not known to government
@ThinkWithSaurav@laughandmerry@udaykotak Thanks Saurav...one of the most even sided logical arguments with no bias on either side of my yesterday's post.. policy uncertainty is spooking investment in our country
@nid_rockz Bang on... Self goal and self injected pain.
Plus the mindset that capital gains are accrued without any effort and hence can be taxed more..these kind of ppl are the problems
@arun8tripathi@udaykotak Then why was it allowed in the first place?
Took ipl sponsorship from them, then banned them overnight. A bigger point is policy uncertainty. And for your information there are many online money gaming platforms including US and are completely valid
@MrMrHarsh@udaykotak Okay..than ban gutkha, alcohol. Why to keep that open. it's also loss of productivity what about retrospective taxation.
What about sgb (sovereign gold bonds) rules changed in this budget.
The point is there is no certainty, you can't change rules of the game afterwards.
@sambhavdaga Kuch bhi matlab kuch bhi...if you cannot catch a shell company, put ltcg...
How come people come up with such senseless logic.
Pls read what Hasmukh adhia said..the beaurecat believes capital gains are accrued without any effort and hence should be taxed. This was their logic
