Journalist, progressive writer and poet Mudassar Naaru was forcibly disappeared on 20 August 2018 from Kaghan while on holiday with his wife (Sadaf) & son (Sachal). After doing everything in her power for 3 years to fight for her husband’s release, Sadaf left this world in 2021.

Sachal grows up waiting for his father’s release.

He met two Prime Ministers - PM Imran Khan & PM Shehbaz Sharif - who were unable and unwilling to have his father released from the State’s torture cells.

His wife Sadaf died of a heart attack & probably stress of raising being single mother.
