@addictcoaching It’s b/c it has nothing to do with weakness.
Ensuring this is the accepted narrative has everything to do with certain groups & industries keeping control.
Reach out to me my friend, if you want. I doubt I’m part of the community currently causing you grief. I’m just me!
Today, as an advocate, I spoke to 3 people about diff healthcare policy issues:
*Acute/Chronic Pain Management,
*Harm Reduction/Addiction/Rehab, &
*Prior Auth/Claw-backs
Everyone, every where, needs to hear this:
Individualized care MUST always come before statistic-driven, population-based policies.
All 3 issues stem from semi-recent policy changes based on manipulated statistics that fit political narratives and enrich a few individuals.
Most public health directives from the last decade were never about saving lives, improving population health, or saving CMS/Medicaid money, but about making money for the right people by positioning them as the only solution to exaggerated problems.
For example, the US has over 100,000 drug overdoses yearly, and recently revised historical data from the CDC shows that population health policies very heavily contributed to that increase - they were never the solution.
The CDC admitted to miscalculating, mis-categorizing, and fudging overdose numbers since 2006, yet these incorrect figures drove the policies that caused more deaths and suffering.
Fudged statistics benefiting lobbyists, industry executives, lawyers, and all their buddies are a major cause of today's healthcare crisis.
Sadly, a clear pattern emerges when we zoom out from individual advocacy issues and view it as a whole.
The worst part? Despite our divided country, those profiting from these policies are united in efforts to ensure that specific narratives and emotions drive health care advocacy, instead of logic and patient needs, in order to avoid detection.
Before we spend months spewing more hate and litigating over Elon Musk & DOGE, maybe we should start by asking:
Who has had access to what, for how long, and why was it acceptable - until the public found out?
And honestly? I’d probably be angrier if I wasn’t already getting weekly emails/letters about my info being hacked via CMS, IRS, or some random bank/health system I’ve never even heard of.
That’s not even counting the 25+ recent hacks at HHS I just found out about yesterday.

For additional info about how many have access to our PHI (protected health info), see this comment👇.
She also has lots of posts on her account exposing how many people see and interact with our health data.
As if the world isn’t divided enough
A short🧵(5):
I learned something today that bothers me MORE than DOGE’s access:
I figured 10,000+ people could see my health data just b/c I’ve been Rx’d opioids but… as👇screenshot shows, it’s way more even w/o med pros & pharmacies.🥺
@thisisnotgr8@Impact2HEAL@keatingssixth Hey, K.
I noticed you have me blocked on my pain policy account yet responded to me kindly.
I know X has messed up all kinds of my account settings, so I thought I’d respond from my personal account in case.
If I did something you feel deserved a block, please let me know?

@addictcoaching@nicksortor I told a few people that I knew he would be chair. I was called names over it and told no way.
Thing is, these decisions require some ‘agreement’ from both parties AND K street. If not, reality is the opposing sides will make all progress in all areas impossible.
@pbeanVT Thanks for the tip!
Checked out his content and it looks like he holds a lot of the same truths as I’ve ‘found’ over the last couple years.
Plus, if the recommendation is coming from you I can assume it’s pretty good.
@pbeanVT Absolutely!! And they seem to believe their way is the best or only way and that you should pay them for it!
IMO, we all have to find our own truths from wherever they come and double, triple down on them!
Absolutely!
In other words…once we find our truths and shed all the limiting deep rooted beliefs, THEN our best life is the path of least resistance and feels easy.
Working on something to help others find these quicker, hopefully bypass decades of struggling in a starting business and enjoying life!!
I had a harrowing experience yesterday getting an X-Ray…
Like usual, the rad tech asked if there was any chance I was pregnant, I said no.
Knowing she’d double check, I was prepared to launch into my usual explanation about having a hysto 15yrs ago.
She just said OK…
WHAT?
I’m now officially too old for a 30 something rad tech to second guess if I’m lying about or confirm I’m not pregnant.
It is a truly devastating moment that no one warned me about, lol. FYI, I’m only 43!
Besides that, since when does anyone in the medical field take patients at their word? That hasn’t happened in any positive situation in years!
