Thank you to @coach_cahill and Coach @zachdeldin for spending so much time with me yesterday. I hope I was able to leave your program with some measurable data points and also a better idea of who I am as a student athlete and a person. It was great spending time with you, @CoachOstrowsky, Coach @AlexKurtzYale and the other staff and players at @yalefootball.
Thank you for the kind welcome, detailed orientation and for showing me around the facilities and the Yale Bowl. It was great to see Team 153 walk out and represent the program where football grew and evolved many times through its infancy.
I’m committed to doing the work to keep open the academic doors needed so we can continue exploring the athletic conversations. I understand the mission.
I’m looking forward to coming back to campus to meet Coach @Bigstef72 at a spring practice (I’ll have that Dec SAT score in hand and also a plan for senior year classes locked in to go over!).
Coach Cahill asked “How could you say no to Yale?”
I don’t know, Coach. I don’t know…
Wow!
I was surprised, honored and incredibly grateful to receive @CCRaider_FBall’s Lunch Pail Award this week. It’s amazing to be part of a team that values hard work, selflessness, and that sees the little things that often go unnoticed in programs. There are a lot of guys on this team who put in max effort every day (…we are an Army, there are lots of us!).
But for now, I am thankful for my coaches and teammates for the recognition; but moreso, for the fact they always push me to get better.
We are hunting our next ✔️ tomorrow vs #3 up in New Hampshire and I know we are ready to get ourselves closer to finishing our ultimate mission….. winning that last game of the season!
So thank you…
…but also LFG Raiders!
Next play!!
Next man up!!!
We all need to earn this every week!!!!
We need it from everyone - now more than ever!!!!!
Until we win our last game!!!!!!
#WeAreCentral!!!!!!!
And once that job is done, I am fortunate to get to see
@yalefootball's pro-style power spread offense that requires the tough trench work and run dominance playstyle to set up big explosive plays that I love. Thank you again @coach_cahill, Coach @Bigstef72, and Coach @AlexKurtzYale and @YUFBRecruiting for inviting me down.
My dad is older, slower, lacks any legitimate DL moves and is definitely not as strong or twitchy as the guys I usually face…but he’s always willing to go down to the field and let me work on Sundays so I can improve. He usually jumps the snap count and more often than not, he lines up offsides, but I appreciate that he’s over 6’, close to 300 lbs and more importantly, he’s ALWAYS willing to be there.
It was pointed out that I instinctively still want to "phantom snap" because I did it for so long... Thank you @coach_Rich for noticing, asking about my history, and for pointing that out! I don't know how I'm going to break it as a Tackle this year, but I'll find a way to figure it out!
I’ve had a few DM’s from teams asking me if my listed height and weight was padded. I was at 277 preseason, kept lifting and now I hover between 283 and 286 at different times throughout any given day.
My last doctor’s appt measured me at 194cm with no shoes (6’ 4.38”).
I sent these photos to Air Force Academy to show them and just thought I’d put them out.
*My mom is shorter than me and was holding the tape, so it makes me look slightly taller than I actually am, but you can see I’m ≥ 6’4”.
*Weight is in underwear (but still taped) and after sweating through a practice.
Let's go Big Red!!! Thank you to Coach @DanSwanstrom, Coach @Sean_Reeder, @coach_dees, and @M_E_Miller for the invite out to Ithaca to see what Cornell Football is all about! I'Il see you on 11/7 when @BigRed_Football clashes with @PennFB. Can't wait to see the Ω in person!!! Thank you.
