“If you look at where public opinion is, all studies show a high degree of support for single-sex services & for those to be provided on the basis of biological sex. So an attempt to change the law...would be extremely unpopular”

Important 🧵 by @LibVoice4Women.
There are plenty of @LibDems & @UKLabour MPs who have sex realist views, which also reflect the views of the majority of LibDem & Labour voters. We all oppose the harms to children of both the puberty blocker trial & Conversion Practices Ban Bill
A 'Russian doll' of threads from @LucyHunterB proving (again) that if you want to take legal/policy advice from Stonewall, you'll need to run it past your own legal advisor first.
We're on the lookout for more lazy parroting of incorrect 'facts'.

@bbclaurak@Keir_Starmer How will he ensure the rights set out in 2010 Equality relating to the protected categories of sex, sexuality and religion and belief if he reforms the GRA now that a Scottish Court has asserted that a GRC means that a transwoman is a woman for all purposes with no exceptions?
I see the moderators are removing any comments about labour losing women and how @uklabour women members not doing the behind-the-scenes work will be a massive problem.

@ScottishLabour Anas, you washed your hands of the #GRRBill debate: you watched silently as @jackiebmsp led the party into dumping all of its manifesto commitments to women. You declined to engage with faith groups and detransitioners. And now you call for unity? You have major bridges to build.
"I’m completely bewildered by the number of women who say they believe sex is mutable...They claim to be feminists, but are prepared to put the rights of men with psychological problems before those of women"..
"Everything we have fought for is in danger".

So many senior @UKLabour figures have been so sure for so long that #WomensSexBasedRights are neither under threat nor important nor electorally significant.
But @SophyRidge names this as one of 3 key issues for Sunak & @Keir_Starmer.
Who's right?

Legislation shouldn't be made like this. Tired MSPs voting on amendments they don't understand - no-one understands them because the legal context changed last week. There's been no time to consider the implications of the Haldane decision or @UNSRVAW's Monday evening evidence.
Last night a narrow majority of MSPs put rapists' feelings ahead of rape victims' needs. Some women spontaneously shouted "shame". Security and police cleared the gallery, threatening to arrest anyone who tried to stay. We were there: we saw this travesty.

We hope @AnasSarwar sees these posts. Anas, before you dismiss them as a pile-on and scroll past, please reflect on why women feel so angry and let down by @ScottishLabour's failure to defend our rights - and its manifesto promises to women. And then act.

"Politicians in Scotland determined to fast-track self-ID into legislation would do well to pay attention to the debacle unfolding in Spain." says @8RosarioSanchez. @AnasSarwar@jackiebmsp time's nearly up to puncture "international best practice" cliches.

Stonewall maliciously targeted women, waged a campaign against same sex attraction, lied about UK equality law and misrepresented its own lobbying, all while enforcing a strict rule of no-debate.
Now it suddenly hears the clock counting down to judgement.
As do we.

"At the heart of the emerging “Gender Identity” industry is a man in a dress, donning women’s breasts with the confidence only a man could acquire after a lifetime of being a first class citizen."
