Our government is taking action to ensure victims and survivors of crime have access to the resources, tools, and support they need to support justice.
That’s why we’re investing $2.3 million over three years to expand the Independent Legal Advice Program & help #protectOntario
Watch this to understand life here:
changed so much since 25 years ago.
Gridlock, crime, fear, cost of living:
All worse.
Video shows real daily life.
We gave our best years to this city: decades of skills & efforts. For what?
Chased a dream / promise that lifted out of reach.
We can protect our own children. We don't need or trust your government to do so.
More importantly, we recognize this legislation for what it really is, which is a way to more tightly monitor and control the Internet for all.
Congratulations on not only doing a good service to the community, but also teaching valuable life and possibly career skills to your students.
I remember my years of shop classes fondly and still retain many of the skills today.
Ontario’s Fortress North America growth plan is built on a simple truth: economic security is national security.
By strengthening collaboration between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, we will create more jobs, lower costs and strengthen North American security.

It was a pleasure to welcome representatives from Florida to Ontario as we explore new opportunities to expand trade and deepen our economic partnership on both sides of the border.
Thank you @denisebatters for uncovering this outrageous interference in the democratic process. Canadians expect that when they send a msg to a MP or Senator it actually gets to them. The Liberal gov’t has no business blocking the voice of Canadians.

Toronto feels broken and you’re just expected to accept it. We are here to tell you that you don’t have to. You don’t have to accept feeling unsafe, sitting in gridlock, and paying more, but getting less. Toronto can be safe, get moving, and get to work. Follow us to learn how.

Some important background to contextualize the headline:
— Only 8% of crime guns are recovered
> Less than 20% of recovered guns are sent for tracing
> Of the traced guns, 71% are domestic
In other words, this report is making a conclusion based on a sample size of only 1.6%.
Folks will know I’m pretty agnostic on firearms, though I’ve used them including from my time as a reservist when I was trained & certified to operate the C-7.
What I feel strongly about is evidence-based policy making, and I challenge anyone to justify making policy on a 1.6% sample size of anything, never mind something as serious as guns and public safety.
The Police Association of Ontario grieves alongside @TPAca and @TorontoPolice following the death of Toronto Police Constable Marc Pinizzotto, who was shot and killed in the line of duty this morning. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Cst. Pinizzotto's family, friends, and colleagues during this profoundly difficult time.
This has been an especially solemn few days for the policing community, and the impact of this loss is felt deeply across our province and beyond. We stand united in sorrow and support as we remember and honour Cst. Pinizzotto's life and service. #HeroesinLife

The federal government’s decision to extend its firearms amnesty once again is an admission that its firearm confiscation scheme is ineffective and deeply flawed.
Ottawa should make the amnesty permanent and abandon its plan to confiscate legally acquired firearms from law-abiding Canadians. Gun confiscation programs will never stop gang violence, cross-border gun smuggling, and the criminal misuse of firearms. We will continue to use every lawful tool at our disposal to shield Albertans from any form of firearms confiscation.
Alberta believes in a principled, evidence-based approach to firearms policy that targets violent criminals and illegal guns, not responsible firearms owners who follow the law.
(And yes. That is a picture of me skeet shooting with friends.)
Somewhere along the way, the rights of victims’ families have been pushed aside.
Having worked with countless families whose loved ones were murdered, I can tell you that when a person is killed, a part of that family dies too. Their lives are changed forever. They carry that sentence every day for the rest of their lives.
Policies that place greater emphasis on the comfort of offenders than the lasting impact on victims’ families send the wrong message. IMO.
Ontario is on a roll — cutting permit timelines in half, getting roads started to the Ring of Fire five years ahead of schedule, and heavily scaling up domestic refinery and processing.
This is why we have emerged as the #1 jurisdiction in Canada for attracting mining investment.
To keep building momentum, @GeorgePirieMPP and I launched the Critical Minerals Innovation Fund — supporting 18 new projects. It has never been more important to accelerate made-in-Ontario innovation and boost domestic supply chains.

As we continue making the case for Fortress North America, I met with Congressman @RepRudyYakym to discuss the need for a renewed continental partnership that protects jobs and national security.
