Some of our ‘Demeter’ poem analysis written by Carol Ann Duffy. Sycamore have worked super hard to use their inference skills to read between the lines. This work later inspired our own raps about the Ancient Greek gods and goddesses. 🪐⚡️✨

The use of exciting vocabulary is massive at Fir Tree so it was brilliant to take year 5 to @wallingford4140 last week to learn some useful new French 🇫🇷

Ancient Greek Vases created with oil pastel and acrylic paint by applying mark-making techniques. Sycamore have loved this method! 🏺

Fir Tree Year 5/6 girls are the winners of the South Oxfordshire trophy! 🏆 AMAZING performances - this afternoon we won all 5 games including a tense semi final that we only won in extra time! Well done girls, you were incredible 🦁
