Reports of #Kashmiri students facing threats across states in the aftermath of the #PahalgamTerrorAttack are deeply disturbing. This is absolutely unacceptable. The Government of India and the Government of Jammu & Kashmir must act swiftly and decisively to ensure their safety. These students have left their homes in pursuit of education, not conflict. They cannot and must not be punished for something they have no connection to. Targeting them is an attack on the very fabric of our unity. We cannot allow hate and prejudice to victimize the youth of Kashmir.

Absolutely heartbreaking and gut-wrenching news coming from #Pahalgam. Innocent tourists have been targeted in a brutal terrorist attack in Biasern, with multiple casualties feared. This heinous, cowardly, and senseless act of violence shakes the very conscience of humanity. It is beyond condemnable, it is pure evil. Such barbarity has no justification and no place in any civilized society. We must all unite to raise our voices against this madness. Strongly condemnned the brazen high-handedness of the district administration and police against the people of Patushay Bandipora. The blatant land-grabbing spree orchestrated under the guise of "development" has once again exposed the administration’s complete disregard for the aspirations and needs of the local populace.

Let’s set the record straight: The government has already snatched 400 kanals of community land (Shamiliyat) for a college. This was followed by the forcible acquisition of 500 kanals of grazing land for agriculture, all with the active involvement of certain vested interests, particularly MLA Bandipora. Not stopping there, 300 more kanals were taken for a fruit market. And now, in the latest act of land expropriation, 19 kanals of land, which had been cultivated by locals for over five decades, are being seized for a so-called "public park."

But let’s call a spade a spade—this is not development; this is organized land loot. This land has been the lifeline of local farmers, providing sustenance for over 400 cows and 2,000 sheep. It is also one of the last open spaces where youth from Patushay, Onagam, Leharwalpora, and Qazipora gather to play football and cricket. If this, too, is taken away, where will our youth go? Is the administration’s vision of "development" one that displaces people, disrupts livelihoods, and destroys community spaces?

Even more shameful is the political drama being staged around this issue by MLA Bandipora. The ₹42 lakh PRI grant allocated long before my representative tenure remains unutilized, as certain families—acting at whose behest?—have deliberately stalled.

I request Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah to personally intervene in this matter and ensure that the rights of the people of Patushay Bandipora are protected.
