I agree, which is why it would be better to have moms stay at home more. Subsidizing childcare will only drive up the costs more, and you get an endless feedback loop of raising taxes higher and higher. The movement to get women out of the home and into the workforce has been a disaster for our society.

Universal childcare is taxing everyone to pay for a handful of people to get the benefit. This is part of the larger problem of socialism sucking up everyone's income to spread it around.
