Was fun to see all the Kyle Petty Charity ride bikes roll into Graceland yesterday. Meeting and talking to the drivers was fun. Enjoyed sharing some classic photos with @Kenny_Wallace and hearing his stories about them.
@nut_history As a Cubs fan I will admit that I admired how hard Albert Pujols in his younger Cardinals years played. Always took the extra base, ran hard, etc. Itโs possibly what may have led to some of his injuries in later years but very smart and tough runner in his prime.
@CainBoyz1 Some of the infield buildings have been stripped of their metal to the frames while the rest are falling down. There are no viable structures left in the infield.
@G3raldF@nut_history Amazing! Where is this located. I know someone posted a reply to a New York Times article but itโs behind a paywall and not readable.
@MLBNetwork@Cubs No swinging for the fences. No focus on exit velocity or launch angle. Just contact hitting, working counts for walks, and even a bunt.
@explaincubs Was there for Game 1 NLDS vs Giants in 2016. His Homerun broke a scoreless tie in the 8th and gave the cubs a 1-0 win. Can remember the stands shaking under our feet. Always like to think that win propelled the start of the postseason run.
Visited Scranton last week and got the grandson a plush Dwight @rainnwilson from the gift shop. He wanted Dwight to watch him brush his teeth. Sorry we were all out of butter and clay so had to go with toothpaste.
