New research reveals that chronic snoring can cause brain damage — and contribute to dementia.
Loud, persistent snoring is often the primary indicator of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), a condition where breathing repeatedly stops and starts throughout the night.
These interruptions cause chronic oxygen deprivation and brain inflammation, leading to vascular damage and memory issues.
Scientists have found that individuals with severe sleep breathing disorders often show a higher accumulation of beta-amyloid plaques, which are hallmark biological signatures of Alzheimer’s disease. This suggests that the physical strain of poor sleep directly impacts the brain's long-term health and structural integrity.
The relationship between snoring and brain health involves a complex "paradox" as we age. While snoring in mid-life is a significant risk factor, a sudden reduction in snoring in older adults can actually be an early indicator of developing dementia, often tied to weight loss associated with the disease. Fortunately, managing these risks through treatments like CPAP machines can improve oxygen levels and potentially slow cognitive impairment. Experts recommend that those experiencing gasping for air, morning headaches, or extreme daytime fatigue seek medical advice to protect their cognitive future.

@it_unprofession Agile has screwed up the quality of products to a large extent and higher post release expenditures ,Some of the Agile ceremonies are useless in the AI era and it’s an utter wastage of money ,time and resource .
@worshipVK A woman’s mind is the most sophisticated algorithm ever created -impossible to predict, impossible to fully understand, yet capable of holding the wildest dreams and the deepest secrets.
@Felix_Josemon A company like Meta would never take such a gamble without extensive research and market analysis. With a population of 1.4 billion and nearly 38% of Indians already using WhatsApp, even if just 20% of those users adopt WhatsApp Payments, it would still be a massive success..
@GergelyOrosz At the end of the day, it’s all about business and market potential. With 1.4 billion people and nearly 85% of its population under 50, India represents one of the world’s most attractive growth market and that’s what truly matters.Few layoffs here and there Dont even matter ..
Not from IIT. Not from IIM.
What truly matters is the courage to dream, the willingness to evolve those dreams into a vision, and the determination to turn that vision into action.Congrats Bro @kunalb11

Today
CRED is ready for its next phase. I am stepping back and @miten steps in as interim CEO, partnered with an incredibly talented team. He has been heading strategy and finance and suffering me since 2020. I’m stepping away from the operating role and will continue as a shareholder. My commitment doesn’t change. Just the role.
Extremely grateful to our members, partners, regulators, and investors who made this possible. And to our board, Shailendra, Micky, Saurabh for their extraordinary conviction.
Team CRED, I’ll still expect you to be a 10x version of yourselves.
As for me, I’ll be joining Meta to lead WhatsApp globally.
Meta comes in as a minority investor in CRED. No access to member data.
While it’s come very far, the delta between WhatsApp today and its full potential is massive. I look forward to working with Mark, Chris, and the leadership across Meta for the next step in WhatsApp’s journey. Will, thank you for scaling something the world relies on quietly, and for making this transition smooth.
Onwards.

Hi @karpathy@nokia
Just wondering if it’s possible to integrate a home router with a local AI server equipped with a 2 TB SSD, allowing LLMs to run locally and thereby reducing or eliminating cloud token costs?@satyanadella
@nsinghal211 Yes ,if you are working permanent for any of the US companies and don’t have mortgage ,if you are working on-site from any of the Indian IT services ,you need to take money from your Indian savings to pay for your US credit cards🤡…
It has never been easy to be Rahul Gandhi. Years of trolling and relentless attacks, yet he continues to stand, serve, and fight for the people he believes in, including those who may never vote for him.
Happy Birthday,@RahulGandhi .
