Judith Curry is an accomplished atmospheric scientist, but her views on climate sensitivity and future risks represent a minority position, not the scientific consensus.
The key evidence hasn’t changed:
• CO₂ is increasing because of human activity.
• The greenhouse effect is well established physics.
• Global temperatures have risen by about 1.4°C since the late 19th century.
• The oceans continue to accumulate heat.
• Sea level is rising and glaciers are losing mass.
Scientists can legitimately debate the exact amount of future warming and the best policy response, but the evidence that humans are driving the current warming remains overwhelmingly supported by multiple independent lines of evidence.
