@Peter_Iceland@JacobL1994_ I’ve seen this argument before, but I have no reason to believe the EU would have rewarded us for supporting Ukraine. The EU’s policy for decades has been supporting our enemies. If anything, worsening ties with Russia would make us more vulnerable to the EU’s hostility.
@JacobL1994_ Ultimately, all the countries you mentioned suffered setbacks because of their own actions. The fact that they happened to align with Russia doesn’t make Russia responsible. R egardless of who we align with, we should aim to remain as independent and self-reliant as possible.
@JacobL1994_ They are only concerned that Iran's missiles could end up in Russian hands and be used against Ukraine. Unironically I hope Iran keeps supporting Russia against Ukraine.
@JacobL1994_@AnimarchyYT This doesn't factor in the civilian and administrative financial support Ukraine has received. Without it, the government would likely have collapsed long ago because it wouldn't have been able to pay wages or provide basic public services.
