The cost benchmarking showed that production tokens are a commodity and will keep capturing volume but frontier tokens will capture profits. Pareto combo was a frontier supervisor + OS line model. Keep this in mind as PE tries to dump SW IPOs into the market on an IGV re-rate.

A real reversal: official benchmarks don’t mean much anymore. Every lab trains for them & every launch tops them. So DoorDash built its own test and ran the models through it

No model won on everything. The best setup was a mix… and it changed when a new model shipped

A lot of companies are going to copy this. If you can test the models yourself, you don’t have to take the labs word for anything

- The precision is the most jaw-dropping part: it resolves motion at the picometer range. It can image internal tissues finer than the width of an atom. We are talking sub-atomic level diagnostic capability

- The compute requirement is massive. The system processes 17 gigabytes of data per second.

It takes 40GB of raw data to reconstruct just one cross-sectional slice. And they are planning to scan 100 slices?

- Midjourney claims that fewer than 12 of these machines could perform more full-body scans than every MRI machine on Earth combined.

@gkamstra Agreed it’s Lindy, I would get a dog if I had WFH flexibility. But, think HH penetration of pet ownership declines due to inflation. Or even a mix shift towards cat vs dog bc of affordability is lower LTV for the industry.
