James Comey has been charged under the Espionage Act for communicating national defense information to a reporter.

The new counts, described as his third set of federal charges, allege he directed staff to speak with a reporter about a October 5, 2016 New York Times story and thereby transferred classified material. The statute is 18 U.S.C. § 793.

Comey could face up to 10 years in jail per count…

A Tennessee man convicted of murder in 2022 escaped from prison Sunday, according to the Tennessee Department of Correction. Jacob Morley, 28, was sentenced to life in prison after he was found guilty of murdering Cody Birchfield, whose body was discovered buried under Morley’s home.
