Fabulous @YvonneSManson I’m sure that like myself, many managers/leaders will be physically and emotionally exhausted just reading and reflecting on our year so far. Hopefully #carehomes will find that pot if gold at the end of the rainbow 🌈 in the form #change
Tune in tomorrow at 8pm Irvine Beat radio to hear frontline staff Annemarie @buckreddan and Margaret from Fullerton joining the Shoes Bros Show chatting about #carehomes keeping spirits up during #coronavirus should be good fun @vallen5555 @scottishcare
Delighted to be joined by two amazing managers who share kindness & compassion in abundance. You both are wonderful kind compassionate leaders. Thank you 4 everything you do every day. 🌟 🌟 🌟 @WMTYScot@tommyNtour @ALLIANCECarerVo @ALLIANCEScot@RhonaGibson12@Fitzsim2Theresa
Definitely, how damaging is this to an already stressed group of people who have lost people they care about, supporting their worried families and terrified of carrying the virus into their #carehomes. Whilst sine are still fighting this virus.
Absolutely beautiful blog @DrDMacaskill. @hegeit and yourself and all @scottishcare have given #carehomes support and encouragement during this nightmare. Exhausted we are, to blame we are not, continue we will. Care is what is important for our residents, staff & managers
This Tuesday evening at 7pm I will be joining you Donald. My candle will be lit and I’ll be thinking of the exhausted managers and all their teams who care with such compassion. Thank you for another real reflection of an exhausting week 🙏
Maybe because some people are being stalked by their neighbours for leaving the house “every day not and wearing uniform “ as has previously been reported. Do you only watch what suits your ignorance? Seriously why are you constantly bleating undermining rubbish. Try the job!!!
Dear god.
Just saw “NHS Keyworker” sticker on a car bumper.
What do these guys want? Applause for their driving?
“I am more equal than you” in bumper sticker format. #skyclappers
Don’t think we have really been anywhere else in all honesty. It’s easy for government to say what the public want to hear but this is not been, and still isn’t, what is happening on the frontline i.e PPE, testing and support. Getting more difficult to watch news by the day.
The guidance and promises of doing all we can for our #carehomes is not what is being delivered on the frontline. Thankfully most of the country is slowly turning a corner and still rhetoric and reality are miles apart.
@scottishcare @JeaneF1MSP @DrDMacaskill Thank you for this letter. However, our 85 bedded care home in Renfrew, where there are no cases tried to access this week 'sample testing' as detailed in this letter and in Health Protection Scotland's guidance but were refused by the local testing centre. With respect, not good
