@georgia_bm_ The sensitive conversion thing should carry over to any tech especially the phones in their pockets, not just the imagined threat of a vehicle from a particular country.

I have pictures of his 1957 Radio & Hobbies Black & White TV build to share at some stage.

Today’s activities. Taking a break from automotive stuff because my arms and shoulders are sore.
Meal prep, cooking 6 litres or so of pea and ham soup.
Freezer meals for old ham radio guy whose wife passed away.

@LeftAndOrder @DA357246 @NuryVittachi Silicon Valley is a good example, we know they give the feds full access to our data and their privacy destroying behaviour is not just about money.
I’m OK with all that, it is inescapable and somewhat necessary, but singling out China on this is ridiculous.

@davepl1968 Not sure about the annual license. Paying for an upgrade every 5 years is probably more acceptable.

@Headspinner496 @missrobinson Yeah, not ideal. Still cheaper than Optus I believe.
I don’t have any problems with speed because I only have 4G out here and it’s horrendous.
My Optus mobile broadband is even worse, falls over at peak times but phone internet still works.
