@TyrReborn @benwehrman I've got the CCR5 gene mutation. So do many other men of Northern European blood. While it does offer more innate immunity to HIV-1 infection, people with the mutation are actually more susceptible to West Nile Virus and other pathogens. It's evolution, there's trade-offs.
