RIP @MotleyFoolMoney . You suffered a long and agonizing death. After @ChrisHillALX left @themotleyfool subjected you to a revolving door of hosts with no clear successor. Now they’ve taken your name and even your @RBIPodcast stocks. I will TRULY miss you. #RIP#TMF
@DavidGFool Thanks for channeling some of the greats and making life in USA better thru your @foolfoundation by providing a clear process to educate our next generation in financial literacy.
The problem with today’s billionaire class isn’t that they don’t pay taxes or give to charity. It’s that they spend the fortunes they have amassed on self-pleasing niche initiatives that baffle most Americans — and then use their permanent NGO class to hijack state and federal money for their causes.
Andrew Carnegie gave away his fortune building the public library system.
The Rockefellers built the University of Chicago and Rockefeller University, funded the YMCA and eradicated hookworm.
The giving of today’s multi-billionaires seems autistic in comparison, detached from the hopes and needs of ordinary people and subject to the blinkered gatekeeping of professional philanthropic administors. Bill Gates genetically modifying mosquitoes in Kenya is something Dr. Evil would do. Fighting climate change in the Philippines helps zero Americans in any practical way.
Ordinary Americans don’t want to penalize success. They want to feel like they are part of a common endeavor that includes the luckiest and most successful among us. They want to see billionaires who use their talent for innovation actively giving back to their communities in imaginative and concrete ways that benefit people outside of Silicon Valley. If that doesn’t happen, it’s going to get harder to get rich in America and keep your money — which will be bad for everyone.
@Laura_Britt_@PavlovicNBCS Laura, we were just getting to know you after retiring in ‘22 with time to tune in to Giants games via https://t.co/aA5GVAo6Sa from OK. We were so impressed with your professionalism and stand for faith. SF’s loss; GA’s gain. Blessing to you! Family is 2nd to God so ur on track!
@FightinHydrant Re. Kids listening to baseball at school… transplanted to OK I listened to A’s or Giants in post season at recess in early 70’s. Used a thing called a radio with a single, wired earphone. Now, retired, I have all-day recess to listen to spring training baseball.
So the first 2026 Friday show of @MotleyFoolMoney didn’t sound like a regular Friday radio show. Have you quit the radio show? And why do away with the bumper music (some of the best related music selections ever)? In fact using similar editing of the daily shows would be a _+_!
@PavlovicNBCS You mentioned signing books in the press box. We’re making our annual Oracle Park trip for Sun Mets and M-T (maybe M-W) Pirates games. Doing the VIP tour on Mon 1/28. Would the tour result in us seeing you to sign my book? Or is there a better time/way?
Hey! I found this newsletter that gives quick, factual news from a Christian perspective. No doomscrolling, no bias, just helpful stuff and some fun headlines. It’s called The Pour Over, and I think you’d love it: https://t.co/TtvwRtp0h2
@KNBR Yet again a problem with Postgame Wrap…. Not even the wrap but rather the highlight episode! Listening to Postgame Wrap Podcast (6-19 Postgame Wrap: Giants 2, Guardians 1)
https://t.co/9id3ajnYcg
@KNBR The engineering for Postgame Wrap Podcast is sorely lacking. This episode was the worst. I couldn't turn up my volume enough to hear the wrap. But beware if you hit a commercial... speakers/eardrums blown!
@jordanmoore As a user I was thinking the same thing. I’ve used spotlight sparingly since buying Launchbar 2 or so… now using v 6. I may have to change back my keyboard shortcut to bring back Spotlight full time now.
@alisonsouthwick We will miss you on MFAs! At 65 I’m prepared for the retirement I’m already in thanks in large part to you and Bro. You made the Awfulizer not so awful with your wit, wisdom and loofahs. May God bless you and family in your future endeavors. #FOOLON
@StwSema Are you updating this feed at all? It’s listed as a source of information on your website. This is the best source for timely information (sorted by date unlike Facebook) that I’m able to find. Posting here would be so helpful.
