Yesterday, there was an NFT collection called MUGI mint.
Most people didn’t know who was behind it no real background no clear building history. Still, it got featured on OpenSea, which made people trust it.

I checked it too, but didn’t mint because it felt shady.

They minted for free then dumped their treasury NFTs on offers and walked away with around $100–$200.

Today I did some deeper research and things started getting interesting

The contract creator wallet:
0x6E9722AeCfF9d7a1F79418A9b6740fb0Ed1510F0

This wallet was newly created and funded just 7 days ago by:
0x757bF616D699875f50a29aAddd2B22A0889BCe77 (created 63 days ago)

That wallet was funded by:
0x9271664a87bae7Fcd2a188A406F7B1B587094DFa (created 105 days ago)

Now here’s where it gets interesting:
0x9271...DFA was funded by:
0x8405754f19DFfd6ed629e20CE54045E814aC1764
This wallet is linked (based on screenshots) to @Fizzo_xrl

Going deeper: 0x8405...1764 was funded by:
0xA6239c84e87876E5c15b2DaB4880fE4705df0F90

This wallet is linked to @KAGEAF_

And it doesn’t stop there:
0xA623...0F90 was funded by:
0x8DF529eEFCA5DDE0D71474A7a6063022D0031BBd (also linked to @KAGEAF_)

Finally:
0x8DF5...1BBd was funded via Relay

Both of their X accounts are based in Africa

People are hating and trolling Africans and Nigerians for a reason, but that doesn’t mean everyone is the same one dirty fish can spoil the whole pond.

Conclusion:
Based on this wallet trail, the MUGI collection appears to be connected to @KAGEAF_ and @Fizzo_xrl

I’m not making accusations just presenting on-chain data.
If this is wrong, they’re free to clarify.

It’s so retarded to me how people use the term “Rug” so loosely

Yes as a creator/KOL you owe a responsibility to your audience. This means you:

- Do research to understand the product and project
- Research the team to ensure they have no shady past
- Make sure the deal comes from a reliable source
- Make sure you fully disclose your paid post.

If you’ve done all of the above and all turn out to be green lights then you’ve done your basic job of due diligence.

Literally 95 percent if not more of web3 product fail overtime. They either don’t manage to find the right product market fit or may not get the desired revenue to be able to continue operating in the space. Or they may shut up for a variety of other reasons .

So if the business failed, is it a rug? Or is it just that the business failed to perform.

The easiest way to get followers and engagement farm and/or promote your useless protocol is to bash KOLs for absolutely garbage ass reasons.

If you see someone is doing a partnered post it’s also YOUR responsibility to do basic research.

Having said that, I feel like people just say everything is a rug and this is exactly why building/innovating in this space is so difficult.

Literally pick any other industry and apply the same and you’ll almost never see this level of witch hunting for creators.
