Last Spring, I had the opportunity to participate in the Severe Weather Field Experience with @UNCAweather!

Here, I showcase snapshots throughout our journey.

Day 1 (05/13/24): We traveled from UNC Asheville to Conway, AR, with the most memorable pitstop in Memphis, Tennessee.

It looks like many places ended up receiving several inches of snow from #WinterStormIzzy! AVL Regional Airport reported 10 inches of snowfall, a daily record for January, 16th!

This video was taken at 45,000ft from the cockpit of an airplane looking at the storm that produced the tornado beginning in Arkansas, through Mayfield, KY, and so many other areas. Cloud tops on this storm were 47,000ft and rising🌩🌪
