𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐬 - Norfolk County’s sheriff charged a business course to his office. Then he started his own money-making venture.
Sheriff Patrick McDermott tapped his taxpayer-funded office for thousands of dollars in online courses last year, taking tutorials in how to grow a business.
McDermott spent around $37,000 —starting three months before he was elected. The funds were used for services tied to his private business, events and donations connected to his nonprofit, Norfolk Sheriff's Office Cares, and meals for a real estate meeting.
On social media, McDermott promotes himself as a personal development coach and real estate investor.
Local residents say they’re disappointed—but not shocked. This comes at a time when corruption in the Bay State has seemingly reached an all time high.
“Here’s another eye-rolling situation,” said Nigel Smith of Dedham. “Why shouldn’t people be outraged if there’s just blatant corruption?”
“If somebody’s supposed to be an example, it makes it even more disturbing,” Joanie, another resident, said.
Reverend Jane Lawrence added, “I think it goes all the way to the top—to the White House.”
When asked if the case made her lose faith in elected officials, she replied, “Well, I never had a lot to begin with.”

𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧, 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐬 - Cruiser torched as part of a series of coordinated attacks on Massachusetts police officers, officials say.
Two men were arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Monday after a "staged and coordinated attack" in Boston's South End left a marked police cruiser in flames - an incident that was part of several other similar attacks throughout Massachusetts.
Boston Police Patrolmen's Association President Larry Calderone stated that this was connected to a series of similar attacks that occurred in Randolph, West Roxbury, Middleborough, Brockton and Fall River, spanning four counties - Norfolk, Suffolk, Bristol and Plymouth.
""This was a staged event where they closed off certain sectors of neighborhoods and streets. In our opinion, they lure police into a gauntlet and then attack them." said Calderone.
Officers arrested Julian Bowers, 18, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, after he was seen throwing objects at officers and a cruiser before a foot chase ended in his arrest on charges including malicious destruction of property over $1,200, disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, according to Boston police.
Officers also arrested William Cantwell, 19, of Warwick, Rhode Island, after he was seen repeatedly striking a cruiser with an orange pole; police said a search of his bag turned up two packages of marijuana edibles, and he faces charges including malicious destruction of property over $1,200, disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and possession of Class D marijuana, according to the department.
Cantwell was released after posting $1,000 bail and Bowers was released on $500 bail. Both men must stay out of Boston unless they’re there for court business or seeing their attorney.

𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐃.𝐂. - President Donald Trump's push for a ceasefire in the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip appears to be gaining momentum, but it's not a done deal yet.
The first round of negotiations are slated to begin in Egypt today, with the aim of finalizing a deal based on Trump's plan. Hamas has shown interest in the plan, apart from a few exceptions.
Under pressure from President Trump to halt the relentless bombing campaign, Prime Minister Netanyahu hopes to announce the release of all hostages in the coming days.
President Trump has stated that Israel has agreed to the initial withdraw line while Hamas has agreed to release all of the remaining hostages, both dead and alive. Hamas said that the rest of Trump's peace plan regarding the future of Gaza will require further consultation.

BREAKING: A new online platform, has Hamas terrorists instructing people on how to conduct an October 7th-style attack.
They are literally trying to globalize the intifada.
@SpeazelyKarwan It's best time for the people who really do take resistance seriously to start being diplomatic with Millennial working class leaders, and I sure as hell don't mean the controlled opposition like Jackson Hinkle and Caleb maupin
@SpeazelyKarwan Most Arabs value the status quo of their country under Western/ Jewish hegemony than Allah or the Deen. Americans don't even like western culture anymore, that's why we burned down Hollywood last January! And then Hamas did the same in the foothills of Israel. No coincidence
