El concierto del año en suspenso: Instituto Nacional del Deporte no autoriza el Estadio Nacional para el espectáculo de BTS

Han sido semanas de negociaciones entre el Ministerio del Deporte, específicamente el IND, y la productora DG Medios. ¿El motivo? La reserva del Estadio Nacional para el concierto de la banda de k-pop BTS los próximos 14, 16 y 17 de octubre.
Pese a que la venta de entradas comenzó en abril, e incluso ya se agotaron, lo cierto es que el Instituto Nacional del Deporte no había cerrado el trato -que bordea los mil millones de pesos que van directamente a Tesorería- para que el Estadio Nacional recibiera el concierto. La tardanza se debía principalmente a los requerimientos técnicos del recital de la banda coreana: es 360º, es decir, el escenario está en el centro de la cancha y hay pasillos para el movimiento de los artistas.

Según fuentes ligadas a la organización del evento de BTS, el montaje del escenario significaba alrededor de nueve días y el impacto en la cancha podía producir daños que entorpecerían los eventos deportivos en el Estadio Nacional, como un partido de la Selección Chilena, los encuentros de Universidad de Chile por el Campeonato Nacional, e incluso la Teletón (por el montaje y desmontaje).
Por lo mismo, desde el Ministerio del Deporte, a través del IND, tomaron la decisión de no autorizar el evento en el Estadio Nacional. Según pudo saber The Clinic, para la ministra Natalia Duco el cuidado de la cancha era fundamental y requería ciertas garantías que no se entregaron.
