Just finished my med school elective with the very GP who delivered me in our small rural hospital 26 years ago. It’s very reason I wanted to study medicine, to give back to our rural communities, and to hopefully make a difference #MedTwitter#justaGP#MedStudentTwitter#GP
Just so we are all clear based on the data from the referendum Australia’s Indigenous & First Nation people overwhelmingly wanted the Voice.
Recognition in our Constitution & and an advisory committee. That was all.
And we couldn’t even do that.
😔
If you needed a reminder of Dutton’s lack of grace, dignity, and empathy and arrogance catch his press conference to comment on referendum outcome. Couldn’t help himself in turning it into a political campaign speech just as he politicised the Voice proposal.
“We are asking you, the white fellas, to help us”
I voted Yes to a #VoiceToParliament because it’s a step towards closing the gap. It won’t affect you if you’re not Indigenous.
Do the right thing by our First People. They just want to be heard on issues related to them.

@drjanaway I cannot express how wrong she was. I have such a high level of respect for psychiatrists. You certainly don’t deserve this from the general public. The amount of training and expertise required to do your job deserves acknowledgment, at the very least.
@drjanaway I remember when I was in high school, I asked my teacher what the difference between a psychologist and psychiatrist is. She said “ohh the only difference is a psychiatrist can prescribe medications” 🙄🙄🙄 Now, being a med student who has done psychiatry rotations…

Ryan: "I'll be there before you are"
