@HitlersEden Cadians are the easiest regiment for people to make their own homebrew regiments out of.
I love Steel Legion but I don't think I've ever seen anyone post a Steel Legion mini they painted that wasn't box art color schemed.
@SaffronOlive FF and MTG (especially early MTG and FF) are both inspired by the same western fantasy sources while adding their own little "twists" to it to make it unique to them.
Airships, dragons, knights, magic, magic powered technology it's all the same DNA.
@sump_scum_4evah 40k fans when GW represents the guard with the most customizable regiment models and not the Hoopty Doo Grenadiers from the world of Glup Shitticus Prime (there was a color scheme for them in the 3rd edition guard codex. It used a Cadian model)
@MrAntiHero1 Maybe they thought it'd boost sales. Maybe they thought the Emperor's "perfect humanity" he created should have men and women. Maybe there's a dude who likes big women. I don't know I wasn't in the room.
It doesn't matter. It was changed, and it doesn't really affect anything.
@MrAntiHero1 It's not without precedent. This change is incredibly minor compared to the Necron lore changes of the 2010s. Squats going from space bikers to Votann.
It's at most an aesthetic change instead of functional or ideological change for the faction.
@WardoftheStates To be fair to Fury, they specifically show that Fury's radio got knocked out during the fight with the Tiger tank right before the finale.
@SaffronOlive All these Spider-mans and ti's just 8 cards of people in identical but pallet swapped costumes to go with the like 20 pallet swapped Spider-mans from the previous set
No wonder everyone hated the actual Spider-man set.
@bitteriarann He says it right here, without the mutilation he might ascend the steps and take the Emperor's head. He can stand there and wax poetic about how they're deluding themselves about the great crusade but taking a swing at the Emperor? Absolutely not.
@bitteriarann Angron whines about how he never ran from the Nucerians but he spends 100 years butchering in the Emperor's name without even pretending it's for a higher cause and his only excuse for not standing up to the Emperor is "But the nails!!"
He's a coward and bigger hypocrite
@TheColeBrew I always assumed it was an anti-grief measure to keep people from throwing reinforce beacons on top of the giant cliffs you get on some maps
@sump_scum_4evah Big words from someone who spent 100 years fighting for the Emperor who he considers the greatest slaver in the galaxy. "Courage and honor" is doing that for 100 years while being super smug about it
@gwentandbolters@JonathanL51962 Changing the deeply secretive and protected processes that are used and are unique to each Custodian would be a bigger lore break than "they always existed"
It's the same as Rogal Dorn battle tanks miraculously showing up on Guard battlefields across the galaxy. It's just easier
@SaffronOlive They really could have at least used the Hero/Villain creature types for Final Fantasy last year, at least for the main character/villain of each game.
