One company reportedly burned through $500 million on Claude in a single month after giving employees access without usage limits, according to Axios. 🧵
@motasim@AmerSharifOFCL I hate how they brand this as a 'relief'. It sounds like a handout.
This is a correction of a massively unfair tax. If anything, they should be adjusting these amounts
So many seths who built empires by rent seeking, electricity theft, labor rights violations are writing reform agendas. How many have spoken for their human resource? Curse on all those hypocrites. 900 choohay kha ke hujj pe chalay seth saab. Tauba pher v nai karni.
Oh, the guy read about anchoring and he thinks babus are smart. Wait till he stumbles onto Availability Heuristic and Cognitive Dissonance.
Look up positional authority though. That's all there is to this "competent" lot.
Bureaucrats and politicians are intelligent and highly practical people. They understand human psychology far better than most people assume.
One common technique is called “anchoring”. First, a lower expectation is floated through leaks, proposals, or media discussions. Once the public reacts negatively, a slightly better figure is announced in the budget. Relative to the earlier number, it appears generous and calming, even if the actual relief remains limited.
For example, if people are prepared for 10% tax relief and the government later announces 12%, the discussion shifts from “Is this enough?” to “At least it is better than expected.”
This helps reduce public pressure and creates a perception of responsiveness without fundamentally changing the policy direction.
And nothing is final yet.

Just 9 days to go before the budget presentation. As rightly highlighted by @RedZoneIsb, they are testing public reaction by leaking today’s so-called “lollipop relief” news for the salaried class.

Total current annual tax on income up to 2.2 million (the slab being discussed in the news) is 116,000 per year, which comes to about 9,667 per month. You can well imagine the impact of the proposed relief, if it is true:)
@ProPakistaniPK Funny terminology, tax relief
MF has to correct the draconian tax and be fair, not give us fucking relief
PS proposed plan for 1.1M to 1.2M slab isn't anything at all. Complete bs
