@stevlmao Ignoring the fact celeb impersonators are already controversial. Dressing up in flashy costumes and parodying the iconic ways some famous person acted is just not the same as… pretending to be some guy playing hypixel?
@stevlmao I don’t get this argument at all cause Celeb Impersonators mimic a stage persona!!! They’re pretending to be some iconic, curated image of the person that exists for the public eye. A mc youtuber also has an online persona, sure, but a WAY more personal one.
@carstairsfox Even if Techno may have found someone impersonating him funny, this argument really doesn’t work because I doubt he’d put that over the genuine discomfort this is causing his grieving loved ones? I doubt ANYONE would??
@catherinespaws@AwkwardlyVibing Thats fair, and to be fair a lot of what I’m talking about is probably unintentional, simply just fans of colour noticing things and relating to them. But I would 100% recommend it! It’s such a fun campaign and it gets soo much better with every season!
@catherinespaws@AwkwardlyVibing Nono I know, I just mean that a lot of FH’s coding doesn’t necessarily come from just discrimination. With Riz theres definitely more of that, but Fig for example touched on the mixed experience of having different needs from your family and not understanding Why
@catherinespaws@AwkwardlyVibing Fair, I’ll say that its not necessarily just fantasy racism for FH and more just… the way the characters lives are? Most humanoid interpretations I’ve seen in this fandom have had the cast as POC due to their overall experiences
@catherinespaws@AwkwardlyVibing Considering how goblins are treated in their society? Yeah. Murph does a great job of expressing experiences that may not fit him
@CptXs3Tr06dnzzW@DarkHorseWrites@widogastsweb These aren’t the same thing. Good roleplay is equivalent to using a spell in a creative manner or finding a solution to the dms puzzle that wasn’t intended. If your words can impress the dm, you impress the character they’re playing. Its in character for them to Agree with you
@DarkHorseWrites@widogastsweb Brennan just likes letting his players know when they do a good job. I assure you, home games regularly have the dm not bothering with rolls cause its just what makes sense for the scene. Hell its often subconscious cause the player just…makes the interaction work
@DarkHorseWrites@widogastsweb As someone who isn’t as good at rp, thats the point of rolling, to help where the player falters. But in game, if your character said ALL the right things using all the information they had been given, and THAT still didn’t work just cause they rolled a 2? It’d be lame as hell
