Not just any 13-year-old girl, one that looked like his daughter Ivanka who was 13 years old that same year. Her name is Katie Johnson. Here is the complaint she filed in 2016. One thing I have recently decided to do was describe skin tones as different flowers, really wanted to emphasize that all colors are beautiful and wanted to stay away from the common tropes of comparing them to food. So, I’m currently changing it in the book right now. #editing

So apparently my book is considered New Adult and not Young Adult. Didn’t know that was a thing. So now I need to rewrite my query letter among other things. I feel so confused now, and definitely need to read some New Adult books to compare it too. #authorhomework
