We just redefined "range anxiety." We build our batteries to last even in the most unimaginable conditions. In honor of America's 250th birthday, we tested ours against the worst case: gunfire. 9mm to .50 cal, direct hits on a Leviathan™ battery, Result: no fire, no failure.
Our propulsion arrives proven.
One of the benefits of electrifications is that we pre-commission the system before the vessel touches water: Leviathan battery energized, motors run under load, system operations confirmed.
This reduces downtime at the shipyard, and ensures the vessel gets back on the water faster.
Idea to part. Part to product. Fast.
Our Houston team prototypes, 3D prints, and rapidly iterates to bring next-gen marine technology to market. This is how we build the future of shipping.
Fleetzero boasts a team with experience across aerospace and heavy industry, and its founders predicted that if shipbuilding comes back to America, it will be in Houston. https://t.co/mz4lUpRZAY
This is how the Leviathan Battery Energy Storage System comes together. Built for safety, efficiency, and maximum output when you need it most. Designed and assembled in Houston, TX. The future of shipping.
Every now and then I walk past this picture and remember that we built a partially autonomous hybrid ship on a seed round…much more to come from @FleetzeroHQ
Electrification enables remote crewing of cargo ships.
Diesel engines have been the key limiter for autonomous ships. Software can move the captain off the bridge, but keeping the engine room running has always required mariners onboard.
@FleetzeroHQ is changing this with the Leviathan propulsion system which can replace or compliment a ship’s engines, removing the need for onboard human intervention while at sea.
Fleetzero welcomes @gigertalk to our Board of Directors. 12 years at @SpaceX leading Dragon spacecraft engineering. Former VP of Engineering at @relativityspace. Now bringing that same bar for hardware execution to the electrification of autonomous shipping. Welcome aboard, David.
Building the world’s best marine battery takes work… & destruction testing.
We select chemistry that avoids fires even in extreme conditions, like shooting it with 12 nails to see if we can trigger a thermal runaway. W/ this design, we think we’ve nailed it. 😉 @electricmariner
Our portfolio company @Fleetzero1 just announced a collaboration with Thoma-Sea and Glosten to deliver autonomous ghost ships. It directly supports the defense objective of combining ultra-dense marine energy storage, vessel-level autonomy and US shipbuilding into a single low-signature platform.
