Another softball interview, another series of obvious lies from the president.
Here's a fact check of a whole bunch of false claims Trump made in a New York Post podcast interview released this morning – all of them, of course, unchallenged:

Doug Ford showed up to more cash-for-access fundraisers than he did Question Periods. The only "work" Ford does is making backroom deals with his mega donors.
BREAKING: LOL! The Daily Show destroys Ivanka Trump for failing to "read the room" by bragging about her private Epstein-esque island as Americans struggle just to afford groceries.
Marie Antoinette had more tact that this...
“It seems like every day, there’s more depressing news about the economy,” said Anchor Michael Kosta. “Gas is $5 a gallon. Raspberries are $8 a pint, which sucks because my backup plan was to fill up my car with smoothie. Now, despite all this, it’s inspiring to know that even in these tough times, there are everyday Americans out there who are still able to make it work...”
The show played footage of Ivanka boasting about the $1.4 billion luxury hotel that she and her corrupt husband Jared Kushner are developing on an Albanian island in the Adriatic Sea. That would be the same Kushner who sold out our foreign policy to Saudi Arabia in return for a $2 billion investment in his firm after Donald Trump's first term.
Thankfully, the people of Albania are rising up against Kushner and Ivanka with widespread protests and growing calls for a full-scale investigation into the project. It turns out that working class people don't take kindly to foreign oligarchs sweeping into their country with ill-gotten capital to snatch up coveted local real estate.
“Let’s give it up for this couple," said Kosta, clapping mockingly. “And for those of you who are thinking, hey, before buying a private island, shouldn’t billionaires maybe read the room? What you don’t understand is, the island doesn’t have rooms yet. They can’t lay the foundation for those rooms until they burn down all those stupid trees, OK?”
The fact that Ivanka feels comfortable rubbing this development in our collective face as her father forces us to penny-scrape, cut back on expenses, and go without vacations because of his tariffs and pointless Iran War is absolutely infuriating. It just shows that these people live in a completely different world. It's not just that they don't care about our financial suffering, they don't think about it at all.
“We were on a friend’s boat, and we stopped for a swim. Effectively, that’s how we found it," Ivanka said. "We swam to the islands. We went on a hike, barefoot all the way, up to the top. And we were just captivated.”
“I feel ya, girl. I feel ya," mocked Kosta. "Been there, done that, except instead of the Mediterranean, I was swimming in the Hudson River. And the island I hiked barefoot was Staten Island. And instead of buying it, I stepped on a needle and got HPV. But I feel you. I feel you.”
Absurdly, Ivanka is trying to pitch the nakedly mercenary development as part of some personal spiritual journey, calling it a "tangible manifestation" of how she "wants to live."
“Come on, lady. You’re rich, and you bought an island! Just say that," said Kosta.
When Democrats retake power, we must launch full forensic investigations into all of these shady deals. It's high time these crooks were held accountable.
Please ❤️ and share to demand a full investigation!
@OccupyDemocrats@jaredkushner Prime Minister Edi Rama has ruled almost 13 years in Albania ! In spite of corruption allegations. And with Kushners going in to develop on wetlands, I feel this is all about corruption.
BREAKING: THE WORLD TURNS ON THE TRUMPS! Over 100,000 Albanians flood the streets to STOP crooked @jaredkushner from turning their protected wetlands into a luxury resort for billionaires.
While Trump dismantles America's ocean monitoring systems and guts environmental protections at home, his son-in-law Jared Kushner is bulldozing protected wetlands in Albania to build a $4 billion luxury resort — and thousands of Albanians are in the streets trying to stop him.
The project, linked to Kushner's firm Affinity Partners, would cover 2.5 square kilometers of the protected Vjosa-Narta coastal landscape — home to flamingos, Mediterranean monk seals, and sea turtle nesting sites. The planned development includes roughly 10,000 hotel rooms and villas on protected Adriatic coastland that Albanian law was specifically designed to preserve.
In early May, excavators began clearing pine forests and dunes. Barbed-wire fences went up, cutting off locals and tourists from beaches they've used for generations. Then a video went viral showing private security guards dragging a peaceful protester along a cliff by force.
That was the spark. Thousands flooded the streets of Tirana for two consecutive days, chanting "Albania belongs to Albanians" and demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has been facilitating the project through legislative changes to protected area laws passed in 2024 — changes that Albania's own anti-corruption prosecutors are now investigating.
SPAK, Albania's special anti-corruption prosecution office, has opened a formal probe into how Vjosa-Narta's protected status was quietly altered to make Kushner's resort possible. Two private security companies had their licenses revoked after the assault on protesters. Fifteen demonstrators have been charged. The local police chief was stripped of his duties.
This is the same Jared Kushner who received a $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund shortly after leaving the White House following Trump's first term. The same Kushner who has been leveraging Trump family connections into overseas deals across the Middle East and Europe, while his father-in-law runs American foreign policy.
Flamingos and monk seals don't have lobbyists. Protected coastlines don't make campaign contributions. But Kushner has a very famous father-in-law — and Albania's government apparently made the calculation that that was enough incentive to destroy their own country’s environment.
Now, Albanian citizens are saying otherwise. Loudly.
Please like and share this post everywhere if you support the Albanian citizens’ protests against Jared Kushner’s greedy desecration of their land and coastline.
Rubio: I have never seen Trump fall asleep.
Lieu: I’m going to show you a video that shows you just lied to congress. Here is a video of him asleep while you are talking.
🤝✅Thank You, @CongBoyle, for Standing With Ukraine
Returning from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Spring Session in Vilnius, where Ukraine's future in the alliance was reaffirmed, Rep. Boyle condemned Russia's targeting of civilians in the strongest terms and called for America to do more:
"America must do more to support Ukraine in its fight against Putin's brutality."
His message reflects a fundamental truth: peace comes through strength, and the surest way to end this war is to ensure Ukraine has what it needs to defend its people. Thank you, Representative Boyle, for your principled leadership and compassion!
One concrete way to deliver that support is the Ukraine Support Act (H.R. 2913) - the most comprehensive piece of pro-Ukraine legislation before Congress today, combining support for Ukraine's defense and reconstruction with stronger sanctions on Russia.
After a bipartisan discharge petition reached the 218 signatures needed, the bill is now headed toward a House floor vote.

‼️@RepDonBacon - Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus - has been one of the most consistent bipartisan voices for Ukraine in the House.
He was among the lawmakers who helped push the bipartisan discharge petition that brought the Ukraine Support Act toward a House floor vote.
🤝Thank you, Representative Bacon, for your principled leadership and for standing with Ukraine!
The bill at the heart of this effort, H.R. 2913, the Ukraine Support Act, is the most comprehensive piece of pro-Ukraine legislation before Congress today, combining support for Ukraine's defense and reconstruction with stronger sanctions on Russia and reinforced cooperation with allies.

🚨On Wednesday, the House will vote on whether to bring the Ukraine Support Act to the floor — a bill to restore military aid and impose new sanctions on Russia. Your representative's vote could make the difference. Call them today or send a note here 👉https://t.co/RJPSispMq0
People didn't vote for her to cuddle up to Mark Carney and Quebec.
She is making Albertans highly taxed, second rate citizens in Canada and she knows it.
I will never stop calling out politicians who sell out. It was a terrible speech that not once represented the real promise of Alberta, in Canada.

3. A real threat
Alberta’s stolen data’s ‘worth at least $3,000,000’…the LARGEST breach in Canada!
And: ‘The US government can compel access to all the data in some of these applications.’
The REAL threat…OUR voter list, on US servers…reachable by a foreign gov’t!

1. Separatist David Parker
His Centurion app was built with a US firm, 10XVotes & 2 Michigan operatives
His words: ‘for almost 2 years I’ve been working with them. The result is the Centurion Project’
THOUSANDS of Albertans’ data later surfaced on that US firm’s site…

@state74705@JasonOnTheDrums I'm sorry about your general hatred of Canada, and people on twitter. You might want to think about getting off of anti-social media. You're stuck in an imbecilic algorithm.
According to data just released by the OECD, Canada is still projected to be the 2nd fastest growing economy of the G7 in 2026.
Let’s continue to build Canada strong, together. 🇨🇦
