Horses do, cows do and even deer nibble on bones and carcasses for nutrients. Hippos thought to be herbivores turn out to eat from carrion

When they hunt the small colobus monkeys they precisely bite with their long canines in the neck or head of their prey to kill it. If they wouldnt use it or need it, evolution would have most likely get rid of it mostly.

We have the bite force to easily rip someone's neck out with our teeth, but our brain for example supresses this bite force so we dont "wear and tear" or damage our teeth to quickly
