Hey!
I did another thing. We now have another tile layout planner. This one has new patterns, in case you were feeling like a regular brick pattern wasn't enough of a pain in the ass for you! ๐
You can find it here under 'Advanced tile layout planner': https://t.co/SNYRCf3bc5
Need a Kerdi-board manual? Go here: https://t.co/zIpfJkmNdu
And type 'favorite' to open the super-secret page!
Or go to the library: https://t.co/wijj9ydy3z and pick anything for 1/2 off with the code 'favorite'.
@jbrown13_brown Hi Jim,
With a regular tile drill bit. You want to ensure the fasteners go into a stud. You can use anchors but they would only be anchored by the tile itself, the kboard isn't going to add any stability to them. If there is no blocking for the rails you need to find studs
@6thhistoryben Hi Ben,
Is that redgard? It looks black in the photo. Is there a barrier behind that backer? Because if not, it isn't waterproof. A lot of "contractors" put up backer and redgard seams and call it waterproof, it isn't.
It needs either a barrier behind it or a membrane over it.
@taliesan Hi Geoffrey, SO sorry for the delay. With flexcolor and other acrylic grouts you can just go over the top of it, no need to remove the existing grout that shrank.
