.@FallNdyeCodou1, Managing Director of EJO:
Everything we can do in foreign languages like French and English can be done in African languages. We chose the word EJO to express our Panafricanism.
Our own languages can make people dream through literature.
.@CoulibalyBojana:
People think that novels written in African languages aren’t successful, but it’s wrong. We have received many orders.
Our books are welcomed in many countries.
.@DiopBoris:
Successful African writers write in foreign languages. Their work is not read in Africa.
Previous editions of my books were expensive and had fewer readers in Africa too.
Ever since Flore Zoa started publishing my work in Africa, many people are reading my books now.
.@Ruzirabwoba:
Africa won’t rise without cooperation between African countries.
However because we are more used to reading books in foreign languages, we tend to think that books written in those languages are better.
Reading African authors and in African languages is needed.
Happening now⤵️
Flore-Agnès Zoa:
African writers are read in Europe, but not in Africa!
We want to promote African literature. In the case of the Genocide against the Tutsi, essays and non-fiction helped me learn the history and Murambi allowed me to identify with the characters.
I am happy to be in Rwanda to connect Rwandans with two publishing houses - Flore Agnès and Ejo @bboris_diop , @CoulibalyBojana . Facts exist indisputably, however they do not speak. What is not said or written is invisible.
