Her words are so true and powerful. I have felt this for a very long time but I havent spoken up. We can no longer deny or ignore the history of suffering, violence, trauma and rupture inflicted on PoC by white supremacy. I'm sorry. I will do better. https://t.co/JOVATTtmaa
@Sianyp1@beverleyturner Potentially. All LAs and schools are different. Some use it to select "in a fair way". So they take 20% from each level. Some say it is just to assess them so they know what level class to put them in and then entry is by location.
@jonnbridges@beverleyturner At the beginning of year 6 my children had to take four separate exams all for different local state schools : no grammars, no privates!
@slmcb1 @beverleyturner Round here - Lambeth, SE london - you have to do exams for every state school you want to apply for! Mine did 4 separate exams all for local state schools. No grammars no private!
People like Richard Branson, Phillip Green & Tim Martin have often been lorded as entrepreneurs who provide jobs & help the economy. The #CoronaCrisis has brought it into sharp focus what many of us thought all along. They have no consideration for anything else but making money.
