@kidkerrigan Yeah it was quite poor… Genuinely it took me the whole day to get the pin. I waited ages in the morning but naturally more people wanted to wait but the line was permanently capped. Some of us said we just wanted only the photo but yeah.. :/
Pax storytime, this was entertaining and I think everyone enjoyed it. We learnt more about the new dungeon in riverglades, I learnt it was a level 40-45 dungeon and it’s about ogres.
My experience with the WoW Forever booth at Pax Melbourne was very disappointing. I’m genuinely not sure whomever is responsible for managing that booth, but it was a joke.
Additionally, if you hadn’t already visited the booth prior to attending the 12pm story time for WoW forever, you weren’t eligible for having met the requirement for the card you needed to fill out to get your WoW pin. You couldn’t even write your name on the card because there wasn’t pens provided without having to share 1 pen amongst hundreds and hundreds of people.
The booth permanently had a capped line and they changed what they were asking of people AND the 2 official cosplayers for them weren’t even there later on. The staff were under a lot of pressure but it was not being executed cleanly to sort and manage what people. The delegation of tasks between whatever staff was there really was inefficient. You couldn’t even meet the demand of playing D4 at the Nintendo booth? Where even was D4? I circled it at least three times.
Genuinely we had to stand in place from 8am to 10am before entering pax, compared to previous years where we were able to enter at 9am, people’s legs were getting sore and we started to sit on the ground; people essentially had to beeline for their booth of choice to meet the schedules after it was dragged on by some cringy events at the pre event stage. I additionally waited at the WoW forever booth for 1 hour 25mins before I could see I have to go to the main theatre to attend the 12pm story time. There was just so much waiting and for some reason the WoW forever booth was nowhere big enough for the amount of people who were interested in WoW and there was a severe lack of staff and very rude security, no one had the answers or was offering solutions, they were not prepared.. Extremely disappointed and I’ve had a long day of primarily just waiting, for some pin, that was a pain in the ass to get because Blizzard kept changing their rules and there was no one responsible to take the lead. They just expected that they’d be able to fit in everyone when Pax itself was omega packed.
@Wowhead Please do something with Skyborne racials please blizzard. Genuinely who is going to be a blue Smurf if the racials are actually bad and have little use.
@Wowhead As long as dungeons don’t become an easy means of going for experience. It’s important that there is people who continue to quest and group together.
@Tmugsy1 Skyborne racials are pretty dog water and yes, horde racials are just better and there’s going to be a divide yet again. I tried out skyborne and there’s no ley lines anywhere, the buff is meh and the levitate sees minimal play besides saving a little bit of time sometimes.
@Aedrareforged I don’t even know what the player base truly wants. Maybe the classic experience but they want new raids, new dungeons, new content but in the classic environment. I think it’s good if the quests aren’t already solved and you have to read them and figure it out.
@Psybear_tv Also it’s mostly what I do but if I’m running somewhere, I’m always scanning any players that are fighting mobs to see if they’re alright, gotta look out for the homies as if it’s HC 🙏
@Psybear_tv If you see someone punching a mob that’s near a lootable quest item or a farming node, don’t touch them. Don’t mine my node if I’m already on it, I don’t touch yours, you don’t touch mine. If you see someone obviously moving towards a mob, don’t try to sneak a tag.
@AliceThePurple I’d have to watch some detailed videos about what actually happened in the previous expansions that are relevant to this current lore. I’m just lost in the sauce at this stage with how many expansions it’s been since SL.
I quite enjoyed BFA, I was really saddened by the news that the next remix was WOTLK. I had waited in anticipation since Legion was the previous remix and we already had WOTLK classic. SL as a collector was interesting but limited raids, maw restriction and covenant restriction
@Linahuaa It just sounds like a bigger deal than what it really is, WoW isn’t hard to play. It’s not like players are learning their spec again every season, it’s just bosses with mechanics we’ve seen in the past and repeating it. We know the fundamentals, it’s just mastering movement.
