@G0ffThew I'm just so fucking tired, man
Suddenly reminded of the renegged voter reform promises and how desperately we fucking needed them, because if I have to go through another cycle of strategic voting to keep the Cons out only for the Libs to do Con shit, I am going to explode
@true0bIue Like, if 98% of the Questioning respondents also answered Male, that's data on the "There are so few himedanshis because they keep turning out to be eggs" meme
@MarianneDHobbit@G0ffThew True, but there's a chicken-egg thing to it where if Crunchyroll and Netflix get all the licenses and don't like outsourcing, then there's no incentive for foreign studios to build up that infrastructure
Though my info on Crunchyroll's practices might be out-of-date, to be fair
@MarianneDHobbit@G0ffThew I know, it's just that like... it's annoying how Crunchyroll's monopoly means the non-American dubbing studios that DO exist don't get the gigs.
Like the UK has GREAT voice actors, they're just all in games instead of anime. Like Elden Ring, Xenoblade, Baldur's Gate, etc.
@G0ffThew Genuinely wish more dubs went for accents, I just wish they did it by hiring people with those accents. I want more Xenoblade anime dubs, I need more "anta baka"s translated as "you muppet"s.
@UsagiKaede1 Cool. Doubt I'll play again, but I've still got all my old cards, so if a scene came back it'd be nice to have people to give/sell them to who'd actually really care about having them.
@appropriant@G0ffThew Personally, just having that many options is intimidating in it's own right. Like there is a level of comfort and convenience in curated selection over expansive freedom.
Granted, I sometimes have a neurotic fixation on playing games "the right way", so might be more a me thing?
@appropriant@G0ffThew Part of the issue though is that that requires playing through the friction, and the more overwhelmed by that friction they become, the more likely they are to simply drop the game rather than wade through hundreds of menu options.
@TsuMePlz A single woman ecstatically thinking about how she gets to spend all day tomorrow chilling in whatever little bog she has set-up in her bathtub without getting interrupted by being the bestie's emergency contact again
@G0ffThew@biggestjoel@EthicalHype Trying to predict human behaviour en-mass is always gonna be some degree of a crap-shoot. To me, it doesn't READ like a prisoner's dilemma problem at a glance, it reads like a moral barometer, and I assume the average person would go with their gut over game theory, thus Blue.
@G0ffThew@biggestjoel@EthicalHype The phrasing of the question alone could swing things wildly (e.g. currently I'd say it puts the onus of the deaths on Red, making blue seem preferable). But then even if there IS time to debate, I could easily see it turned into a culture-war social-darwinist thing. cont.
@_mimiyori Not QUITE in this instance? They start out as best friends before ever meeting the MC, and from what I remember of the manga the idea of becoming a throuple DOES come up, but more in a "Both date him" way than omnidirectional "all dating each other".
@law_etienne I'm generally ok with it, but when we spend like half the episode in 2D with flashback Kasukabe, it CAN feel kinda jarring to go back to 3D Caiman and Nikaido tbh
