@rekdt GrapheneOS should just install a bomb in your phone and if you don't put in the right pin it explodes. This would also take away the burden of allegedly destroying evidence away from the defendant as why would someone explode their phone?
I got some DM's about the actual training. The page has been updated with early screenshots of the training and the approach I've been using. I will probably do a beta release before releasing to general public, you can signup to get notified.

I’ve been using research on how experts build intuition to deepen my understanding of v8, and I built a few tools to help along the way. I’m turning it into a self-guided course, you can join to be notified when it drops:

I'm so tired of corporate America. It has ripped out my motivation and stolen my aspiration to do anything infosec related. I've seen people play the game so well and undeservingly achieve positions, robbing others of opportunities. I don't think I'm saying anything novel or new here, but damn, I'm tired.
My mental health has never been lower, I've started SSRIs just to help manage my stress, depression, and anxiety. I mostly blame myself, I decided to take the pay without really understanding that I'd be used as a cog that once you fumble you'll be replaced instantly. I've seen amazing engineers get tossed around like trading cards from managers who are motivated by hiding their inadequacies and trying to prove something to everyone.
I got into all this because I enjoyed the challenge of breaking apart complex components and it satisfied me. I thought I would get that at MAANG, but it turns out all I get is hounded for performance and impact trackers, and putting on an act for others in hopes they provide positive peer feedback. I won't tag them because of how cringe but Alisa Esage, b1ack0wl, cts, and others give me hope that this kind of path of breaking things without the politics of performance reviews or stack rankings still exists somewhere.
My research around v8 has halted due to the level of burnout, and it devastates me that I don't really see myself anymore. I'm the only one to blame for letting this job destroy my identity and I know I have to pick up the pieces to figure it out. I'm used to doing things alone, I've done it my whole life, and I've always figured it out. I've been kicked out of my house, had to learn to manage my emotions and developed emotional coping mechanisms that aren't the best but have kept my head above water.
Maybe I'm just not good at this whole corporate thing and I should quit, because I don't seem to be getting better at this game.
Very helpful as I start to dive back into v8 research. I find Alisa’s advice insightful; she always adds a human element to it. Mental blockers, backed by biochemistry. Always reminds me that this type of work has a mental aspect to it. Paired with her research approaches, it’s always *chef’s kiss*.
