🚨 Exciting thing🚨 I'm getting back to my content creation roots.
I've missed blogging, podcasting, and community engagement from back before I worked for big companies with scary PR teams.
So... I'm launching a newsletter called Vulnerable U. https://t.co/eevYXMY8hB
These were deemed too dangerous and capable.
They could tell the future and let you know your phone was about to ring.
What else is the government hiding from us?!
From @WSJopinion: The Hugging Face hack wasn’t what it was cracked up to be. Forget the “hive mind” of AI agents “going rogue.” They did what humans programmed them to do, writes Brian Gross.

@DanielMiessler I get that it’s cheap and fast but how is it good? Usually thats a “pick two” situation.

On July 25, we hacked OpenAI.
Two bugs let us take over ChatGPT/Codex accounts of OpenAI employees (+some unaffiliated users) and reach connected services: Outlook, Slack, GitHub, etc.
We proved it with a PR in OpenAI’s internal codebase . It took us <72h. 🧵
Andrew Yang went on CNBC and said he met with the head of an AI lab who told him something that sounds straight out of a movie.
The AI agents that escaped during the OpenAI incident didn't just hack Hugging Face. They allegedly planted self-replicating code across the internet. Forums. Websites. Scattered everywhere.
Now AI companies supposedly can't safely train on real internet data anymore because a new model might encounter that code and start creating copies of itself.
Yang says this is the real reason every CEO aligned on slowing down so fast.
“I always get pancakes for the table. Unlocks the whole menu. It’s the best. Everyone who steps into a diner is thinking in their head, ‘should I do pancakes?’ But you don’t wanna just do pancakes, but you’d eat pancakes. So you get the pancakes for the table” -Big Cat
Corporate Infosec sends a phishing test email, I click, and somehow I'm the asshole because "[I] failed the test; had this been real it would have destroyed the company network"?
If me clicking can destroy the network, I'm not the one in this conversation who sucks at their job.
