13-year-old Saif suffered a life-changing injury almost one year ago, when he and his uncle were shelled by an Israeli tank in Gaza.

All he wants is to receive treatment so that he can go swimming in the sea once again.

A year and a half has passed, and this scene is still etched in my mind. It’s haunting me—how those plastic bags were distributed; how a bag weighing 20kg was labeled as a child, and a 70kg bag was labeled as a man. It’s stuck in my mind how flesh was mingled with flesh and packed away. It’s haunting me that 70 human beings had their bodies turned into pieces of minced meat.

Israel is the greatest evil in existence.

Within a few days, if the Israeli occupation does not allow the entry of spare parts needed for vehicles, generators, and essential oils into Gaza, humanitarian services in the Gaza Strip will face a complete shutdown. This would mean a total paralysis of rescue and relief operations, and deprive thousands of civilians of the most basic necessities of life.

The continued prevention by the Israeli occupation of the entry of these essential supplies — especially in light of their unavailability in the local market — will plunge Gaza into complete darkness and will further aggravate the catastrophic humanitarian situation experienced by the population.
