@StevenTobias7@EdinburghUni Congratulations Steve, this is amazing news, and a very well deserved honour. I'll miss seeing you when I'm in Leeds, but hopefully see you in Edinburgh some time!

Understanding the mechanics of drop splashing is valuable for improving technology in many fields. Research by @FluidsTom & @alfonsoacp 'Droplet splashing on curved substrates’ has been published in the Journal of Colloid & Interface Science https://t.co/FLjNlcTaHf @OxfordFluids
So cool to see our work featured by @fyfluiddynamics - thanks Nicole! And on the day that our JCIS cover appears - thanks Josie @oxengsci! Paper: https://t.co/P9Kp9UJNlz (VoR, free until 27 Mar); https://t.co/5Lo1nLf975 (accepted version, free always). @OxfordFluids@wadhamoxford
Sending our congratulations 👏🥳🙌 to @FluidsTom
from @OxfordFluids to be a runner up at the video competition organised by @UKFluidsNetwork.

We observe inertial behaviour for the coalescence (this GIF)/ stretching separation (GIF above) transition, with the latter outcome occurring only above a certain aspect ratio. Using this value as a criterion, we propose a simple but robust model to predict the transition.
A snapshot (one page) of our Drop Dynamics SIG meeting yesterday - thank you all for coming! It was great to see familiar faces and so many new ones! It was a truly international event! @RafaelCastrejon@FluidsTom@UKFluidsNetwork
Join us for a virtual @UKFluidsNetwork Drop Dynamics SIG meeting - Tuesday 29th June - featuring 8 speakers based in 5 countries. Inkjet, impact, surfactants, wetting and more! To join: https://t.co/BpYbcSmb4C Open to all - register soon as capacity is limited! @EPSRC#DropsSIG
Meeting link has just been sent via email to those who filled in the form. All existing SIG members should have already have received the link last week.
