@TiceTunes I have a complex response. Some of it, very much โyesโ: aurally interesting, a sense of progress and movement, echoes of early electronic music. Some of it (see 4:40-5:00) is way too high-frequency for me to be able to appreciate!
@zappedtothe No, I was always comparing myself to the greats and just gave up in disgust at my lack of excellence. However, I picked up doing Tracker Music for Moonring a few years ago, and realized I was pretty good at it!
@zappedtothe Thanks so much for your kind retrospective. Happy to answer any questions. I've only recently started to appreciate that my C64 music wasn't crap. :-)
I know it's not properly retro, but my free game Spellrazor is effectively the spiritual follow-up in terms of tone and physics.
After spending the last month getting Moonring to work perfectly on joystick, Iโm rather horrified to find I have to set the correct SteamDeck controller template settings to get it to work properly! Is there some way to force Steamdeck builds to use the basic joystick config?
