Our advice:
1. Ensure your online payment system is SCA-compatible.
2. Ensure it takes advantage of exemptions to SCA verification (for ex, when payment is under €30)
3. Follow-up on failed payments with customers, ask to try again.
4. If possible, provide backup payment method.

We're already seeing some examples where customers are abandoning carts over failed payment verification checks. This can be as simple as not opening their banking app quickly enough to pass the check. No doubt this will be a pain point for online merchants for some time to come.
