Posts a lot more interesting stuff on Bluesky. Follow me there! He/Him. hates the tories. IDK I thought flying nun was funny. Retweets are not endorsements.
Mamdani on the viral "my mayor's Muslim" Knicks fan: "Thanks to him, there are a lot of people who have just been running up to me over the last few weeks just shouting, 'My Mayor's Muslim!' I said, 'It's true. I am.'"
@JadenJTW pressing red ONLY makes sense if you believe most people aren't bothered by killing to save themselves, if you're too stupid to understand that's what they're doing.
@JadenJTW Your math is bad. 50+% of people pressing blue is infinitely more probable than 100% of people pressing red. if the rationale for a choice requires manufacturing a statistically impossible scenario to be comfortable making that choice, it's not actually the logical choice.
@JoshStrifeHayes@HadesSamael Also, in the parameters of the original question, *everyone* is pressing the button privately, which implies babies will just be picking their favourite color at random. That guarantees ~50% of babies die if red wins.
@JoshStrifeHayes@HadesSamael The real question is, can you be 100% sure that - in a vacuum without any chance to discuss your votes - nobody you *would* risk your life for will try to carry others? And do you think society can survive losing all the people who would, or just that many people in general?
@TheRocketRalph No you’re 100% correct. This has been obvious since he turned a dead body into content. Literally not a shred of humanity in this ghoul.
Not gonna even screenshot because I don’t want to give them publicity but there are already Paul-connected crypto bros saying shit like “as a life long anime fan, maybe I should get my old one piece volumes graded to see how much they’re worth” it’s so transparent
He’s using existing tribalism (anti-tourist sentiment, “one piece is the greatest” vs “one piece is overrated m” etc.) in the anime fandom to fuel his own marketing agenda. Don’t fall for it. Stay focused on how NONE OF US want graders/speculators here, tourist or otherwise.
@Sugaku@waitbutwhy they don't need to be idiots, especially not in the button scenario. a small percentage of people are color blind, babies will pick randomly etc. And thus anyone who does choose blue consciously knows they're voting to save at least some lives.
No they don’t. With compulsory voting you get people who don’t watch news or engage in politics on any level literally flipping a coin because they have no opinion.
But we’re getting off topic. No, your made up definition of vote doesn’t magically exclude babies from the real definition of “everyone”
@Sugaku@Vexarian@waitbutwhy yes, because I know other people will, including nearly 100% of small children who will feel compelled to fiddle, compared to the ~50% who will pick one button over the other. though I do think it shifts my survivability odds down a little bit.
As long as there’s no obvious, egregious damage Beckett can just say any volume is whatever grade they want. They alone control how rare the highest grades are, regardless of how many good condition manga get sent into them. Don’t get scammed.
This Logan Paul rabbit hole goes deeper than I expected. What he did to the Pokemon fandom was a calculated, coordinated move and it looks like all the same players are involved in this move on manga. Video soon.
@TheMysticSSJ Prices didn’t take off in 2020. Pokémon was keeping pace with other collectibles until early 2021, between when logan started streaming pack openings and when he bought the two illustrator cards, at which point all things Pokémon outshot every other category’s growth.
@biggestjoel The real scenario forces you to consider the consequences much more deeply than the internet question and ask yourself “do I know, for 100% certain, that my mom, my hippy aunt, my innocent 5 year old nephew, will all hit red?” And if the answer is no, you just hit blue and hope.
