Just a quick Friday reminder that the UK and the US are now both being run by co-dependent multimillionaire bullies with stupid hair and foul mouths who think they are above the law and know exactly how to whip up violent hatred and division for their own venal profit.
My mum isn't on Twitter but she's so incensed by what's happened to @BBCNaga that she asked me to tweet support on her behalf. And I'm incensed too... so two birds, one stone. Cowardly decision and a slippery slope.
Things are so bad, so worrying, so filled with hate & anger that we must take a stand for who we are as a nation. We must support the rule of law, & demand decency & respect from our politicians. We must moderate the language of debate. And we must condemn anyone who doesn’t.
Can everyone PLEASE stop retweeting that despicable comment about 16-year-olds to demonstrate their outrage?
Your valid comments denouncing it do not override the fact that you've just spread it further.
Screenshot it. Make reference to it. Whatever. Stop bloody RTing it.
The established boundary of decency & respect has been strategically broken. It's the same way Trump lies on TV and declares fake news. Johnson has ignored the highest court in the land and said "no". Kept going, still in power. This is new, it's by design and it's terrifying.
I don’t think any of us who witnessed what happened in the House of Commons today, whether in person or on TV, will ever forget it. I think the genuine, inhuman, toxic horror of it will remain etched in my mind for the rest of my life.
