Scottish-American naturalist John Muir was set to pursue a career in technology. Then everything went dark. Simply Scottish host @AMcDiarmid sheds light on a fascinating chapter of Muir's life in @theammind: https://t.co/pQDksnA0UT #Scotland#nature#mentalhealth#technology
Massive devastation of the Hedderwick plantation in John Muir Country Country Park. This is where I walk our two dogs every morning. All paths through the trees now impassable.

The first 2m30s of this video includes great coverage of the collaboration between @FoJMB_Dunbar and @sustaindunbar as a result of the John Muir, Earth-Planet, Universe exhibition still on display at @JM_Birthplace.
As I couldn’t be in Glasgow today to meet back up with some of the @Scotpilgrimage folk I joined in the gathering in Dunbar organised by @StAnnesDunbar. My placard was inspired by the @FoJMB_Dunbar exhibition in @JM_Birthplace so I had several photos taken in that context 👇
Delighted to have #pilgramageforcop26 visit us as part of their journey from Dunbar to Glasgow, the video shows a soil sample being taken as part of raising awareness of #climatechange for #COP26 well done for braving the Scottish weather🥰🌍🥰@SoilAssociation
@Scotpilgrimage Thanks for tweeting @WalkNoDonkey’s video. My ‘cape’ is made out of the introductory panel of the “John Muir, Earth-Planet, Universe” exhibition.
This exhibition is still on show at @JM_Birthplace and also online at https://t.co/EgO2kvZxIs
I had conversations with several pilgrims after this workshop as they wished to be better informed about the claims made against Muir. The article cited in my reply to a @Scotpilgrimage tweet is the perfect response to the anti-Muir rhetoric.
Another great blog post by Tamsin. Mainly captioned photos that are evocative of the first day's walk from @JM_Birthplace in Dunbar to St Baldred's Church in North Berwick.
A really good blog post and summary of activity in Dunbar for the launch of @Scotpilgrimage #PilgrimageForCOP26 on Sunday 17th October. It was a pleasure to walk with Tamsin and have conversations with her.
We were excited to welcome 2 very special visitors to the Museum today. Muir and Stickeen were named after their owner's love for John Muir, growing up in West Barnes she visited John Muir's Birthplace throughout her childhood. #eastlothian#johnmuir
