In 2013, discovered and brought to Sierra Leone the only existing photograph of Bai Bureh, the country's national hero. In 2019, he became a naturalized citizen of Sierra Leone.

They wanted us to share their progress with our FoSL members; and, we are happy to do it! PLI is developing an Early Childhood Education and Community Center to benefit the children and community of Mondema, Sierra Leone. Construction has begun!
Hi FoSL Members! Passion for Learning Initiative (PLI) has received $12,000 in donations in January of 2026, which is all from their own fundraising efforts. PLI is using FoSL for our 501 status to implement their project in Sierra Leone.
