@HyndlandSec @UniStrathclyde Hi there, it was FOCUS West who visited Hyndland pupils on 18th November, not the University of Strathclyde (although we do have a base there). Delighted to attend and support Hyndland pupils with higher education routes, pathways, decision making and applications!
S3 loved their trip to @UniStrathclyde today as part of the Focus West programme, many of them now planning on going there in the future too! @focus_west#DYW
Our S3 pupils had a ball today at @UniStrathclyde , participating in workshops offered by @focus_west . All pupils aspire to go to University post school and enjoyed the campus visit! @braidhurst 📚💫
S2s enjoyed a visit today from @focus_west for their Pre-Choices workshop. Pupils had great fun interactively linking school subjects to Higher Education courses and finding out the various routes to achieve their goals 🤩
Thank you to @focus_west for a fantastic career event for S2 on how to make informative subject choices and next steps after school. #kimthelawyer#serenasportscoach 📚🧑🏼🎓
S2 Options Choice workshop discussing pathways with @focus_west for some of our young people considering University in the future. Anyone who missed today’s session will get another opportunity to attend.

"However, if we were to use social media to market this support as an additional, bonus opportunity to take advantage of, it could increase the numbers of widening access pupils reaching higher levels of education..."
Lorna, one of our development workers, has posted a new blog - this time focusing on the marketing tools and social media presence of Widening Access initiatives. Check it out below!

New analysis by @Emma_Seith, on school inspection. Amid brouhaha this week over the length of time schools have been waiting for inspection, Emma asks if that obscures more important issues. https://t.co/fQPNfswkql @TesScotland@tes#SchoolInspection
Some great Earthquake-proof models made by our S3’s…and all of them withstood the Earthquake test!🌍 I think we might have some budding architects on our hands👀😬 idea taken from @MissRogers19
